I liked it because it is a lot like The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. It's about three girls who where once best friends, but the were split up during middle school. They all go to different places in the U.S. and being in those places makes them realize how much they need each other. This wonderful author puts a creative twist to 1800's triumphant girl stories. Gemma struggles with the basic troubles of a young lady, and then some! Tragic romances for men, uncontrollable hatred for gossiping girls, and dreadful schools to teach young girls how to be sophisticated women all come in to play. To add onto every girls problems, Gemma fights evil powers that lurk in every corner, searching for her and her nightmares. Overall, Bray's twists, turns, and mind bottling secrets keep young adult readers turning the pages. Personally, I would suggest this book to all teens. - Kayla
